At the Family Business Career Day on July 5th in Ditzingen near Stuttgart, Germany, graduates and professionals will again have the opportunity this year to make direct contact with owners and top decision-makers of family businesses. LAPP will also be there as a family-owned company in a global group of companies. The fast-growing provider of connectivity solutions sees the Career Day as a welcome opportunity to attract qualified young talent for the tasks of the digital future.

LAPP is especially looking for graduates and young professionals for electrical engineering, production and product management as well as for specialists with know-how in the context of industry 4.0, Smart Factory and digitization for the German-speaking area. On the career day, graduates as well as specialists and managers will get to know the company at several touchpoints after applying in advance: At the LAPP stand they can find out about individual career options and jobs; LAPP will present its innovative product portfolio for data and energy connections in the "Engineering Lab" of the trade fair.
660 interested parties applied to LAPP in advance for appointments for individual interviews. LAPP selected 30 of them for an interview. If the mutual interest remains after this getting to know each other, LAPP invites the candidates directly to the specialist department at Stuttgart headquarters.
Personnel work has won several awards
For LAPP, which is now managed in the 3rd generation by members of the owning family, Human Resources work is an essential key to entrepreneurial success. The world market leader for connectivity solutions has already received several awards for this. In the "Success Factor Family 2016" competition, which is sponsored by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, the company achieved first place in the category for medium-sized companies for its family-friendliness. LAPP also received the Human Resources Excellence Award 2017 in the Work 4.0 category for a successful transformation into the new world of work, especially for placement with internal employees and external customers.
The recruiting and contact fair Career Day for Family Enterprises is under the patronage of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy. This year's host is TRUMPF GmbH + Co KG in Ditzingen.
